Before kick-off, the Gresford Athletic starting XI held up the "Show Racism the Red Card" card to promote anti-racism and demonstrate our club's stance against racism in football and wider society.

The game began in disaster for The Colliers, as Connor Littler put the visitors one goal up in just the fifth minute with a headed effort.

Iwan Roberts tried his luck from range in the 21st minute, but it was tipped away by Buckley Town's Josh Tibbetts.

Then, in the 27th minute, The Bucks made it 2-0, with Oli Blayney slamming it home from close-range to extend their lead.

Jake Roberts came close in the 32nd minute, but his effort was only just denied by the post.

Captain Josh Griffiths unfortunately had to come off with an injury in the 35th minute, being replaced by Paul Johnson, who returned from injury himself.

The second half started fairly quiet, until Buckley Town struck for a third time, with Max Moore slotting it past Lewis Dutton in the 63rd minute.

Max Moore then hit the post in the 72nd minute, but substitute Aled Bellis was there to tap it into an open net to make it four for Buckley Town.

After a bit of a scramble in the box, Luke Mariette made it five for The Bucks in the 77nd minute, tapping it home from just a few yards out.

In the 84th minute, another mess in the box resulted in Bellis finding himself in a good position to place the ball into the back of the net for a sixth goal.

Then, to round things off, it was Bellis who bagged his hat-trick for Buckley Town, making it seven goals for the away side in the first minute of added time, slotting it home with ease.
