Gresford Athletic continue their excellent form as they earned a fantastic win away against Mold Alexandra on matchday 25 of the 2024/25 JD Cymru North on Saturday.

Mold Alexandra had the first chance of the game, but Cynan Edwards' seventh-minute strike went off target.

Charley Edge tried to find the opener with a strike from long-range in the 12th minute, but Joseph Smith in the Mold Alexandra net made the save.

Dave Forbes played a fantastic through-ball to Haci Ozlu in the 15th minute, with the latter having a good effort on goal, but The Alex's Joseph Smith again was there to stop the ball.

Then, in the 26th minute, Charlie Mann did superbly to curl his effort into the net from the edge of the box to put Gresford Athletic 1-0 up away from home.

It was not long before The Colliers continued to put pressure on Mold Alexandra, with Toby Gallagher-Keenan scored a quick-fire brace within three minutes, bagging goals in the 29th minute and 32nd minute to fire Gresford Athletic way ahead before the break.

However, just before the half-time whistle, Dave Fobes hit the ball sweetly on the volley from a Charley Edge cross in the 44th minute, but his attempt rattled the crossbar.

Gresford Athletic almost made it four in the 49th minute, with Haci Ozlu firing the first effort of the half against the post.

Then, in the 68th minute, Lucas Gregson pulled a goal back for Mold Alexandra, forcing the ball into the net from Fabrizio Murtas' corner.

There was a good moment in the 87th minute when Gresford Athletic Under 17s player Konstantin Kostadinov, nicknamed "Titi", made his First Team debut for the club.

However, Gresford Athletic managed to hold on for the rest of the half, earning a crucial three points and making it seven wins in 10, pulling even further away from the relegation battle and continuing to look further up the 2024/25 JD Cymru North league table.
