The 27-year-old has made 40 appearances in all competitions for Gresford Athletic, helping to keep 10 clean sheets and scoring four goals. He was named Gresford Athletic Man of the Match twice, as well as Player of the Month for January 2023. He was also included in the JD Cymru Leagues Team of the Week once during his time at the club.

During his career, Pickering has also played for Upton AA, Oswestry Town, Chester Nomads and Prestatyn Town.

He now signs for Flint Mountain in the Lock Stock Ardal North West, who finished in fourth place during the 2022/23 season.
