Richard Capper has left Gresford Athletic

Richard Capper has today left his role as Gresford Athletic first team manager.

Rich first joined the club in January 2017 to become a first team coach, working under then-first team manager Steven Halliwell.

At the end of the 2016/17 season, he was promoted to first team assistant manager, a position he stayed in until 2019.

In the summer of 2019, Rich was appointed as first team manager as part of the club's restructure ahead of the 2019/20 season.

He leaves the club after finishing 11th in the 2019/20 JD Cymru North on points-per-game, whilst also winning the Macron NEWFA Challenge Cup in 2017 and being runners-up in the competition in 2019.

We thank Rich for his hard work and efforts during his over three years at the club and everyone at Gresford Athletic wishes him all the best the future.

An announcement of an appointment of a new first team manager will be made in due course.
