Paul Gray has been appointed as Gresford Athletic Reserves manager

Paul Gray has today been appointed as Gresford Athletic Reserves manager.

He replaces former Gresford Athletic Reserves manager Matthew Davies, who left the club a week ago.

As a player, Paul horrifically broke his leg and went into management, where he now has 35 years of experience. His first job was being a part of the successful coaching staff at then-Welsh National League Premier Division club Penley.

In 2002, he formed Borras Park Rangers Juniors, coaching two squads and winning nine league titles, six league cups, five NEWFA Challenge Cups, as well as the Welsh Super Cup.

Paul joined Gresford Athletic as Reserves assistant manager in 2018, working alongside former Gresford Athletic Reserves manager Matthew Davies, who Paul is now replacing.

Joining Paul in the Reserves is Luke Jones, who has been appointed as Gresford Athletic Reserves coach.

Here is what Gresford Athletic director of football Steve Halliwell had to say on the appointment:
"Paul is a very good coach and well respected in the local area. The appointment also keeps the continuity from Matt's time here and hopefully, we get to keep the talent that we had last year and get them pushing for places in the first team squad."

Welcome to your new role at the club, Paul! We look forward to seeing your progression with the Reserves.
