Despite a tough run of form at the start of the season, in which they were defeated by Airbus UK Broughton, Denbigh Town, Mold Alexandra, Gresford Athletic, Prestatyn Town and Flint Town United, they have had an upturn since mid-January, picking up victories against Prestatyn Town, Caersws, Mold Alexandra, Llandudno, Porthmadog and Llanidloes Town.

In cup competitions, The Bucks kicked off with a win against Mold Alexandra in the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup, as well as a victory against Denbigh Town, but were stopped by Gresford Athletic at The Globe in round three. In the Welsh Blood Service League Cup, Denbigh Town beat them 6-2 away from home in the first round, whilst a loss on penalties to Flint Town United knocked them out of the Macron NEWFA Men's Senior Challenge Cup. Buckley Town did reach the quarter-finals of the JD Welsh Cup, beating Bow Street, Llanuwchllyn and Porthmadog along the way, but were beaten by JD Cymru Premier oppositon in Connah's Quay Nomads.

HEAD TO HEAD

Since the start of the JD Cymru Leagues in 2019, Gresford Athletic have played against Buckley Town eight times, with just one ending as a draw.

The Bucks have claimed three wins, including a league double over Gresford Athletic in the 2022/23 season. However, The Colliers have four wins, including a victory on penalties in the 2022/23 Nathaniel MG Cup, as well as a 2-1 win at The Rock earlier in the 2023/24 season.
