Gresford Athletic aim to continue their run of five consecutive wins in all competitions as they face Buckley Town at home in the 2023/24 JD Cymru North tomorrow night.

Gresford Athletic will play against Buckley Town on Wednesday 4th October 2023, with kick off at 7:30pm.

THE OPPOSITION

Buckley Town find themselves in 12th place in the 2023/24 JD Cymru North, one place behind Gresford Athletic.

After eight leagues games, The Bucks have collated two wins, coming against Chirk AAA and Guilsfield, as well as one draw against Porthmadog, with losses to Airbus UK Broughton, Denbigh Town and Mold Alexandra.

In cup competitions, Buckley Town beat Mold Alexandra and Denbigh Town in the first two rounds of the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup, but were beaten at home by Gresford Athletic in round three. A 6-2 defeat to Denbigh Town and a loss on penalties to Flint Mountain also knocked them out of the Welsh Blood Service League Cup and Macron NEWFA Men's Senior Challenge Cup.

Gresford Athletic and Buckley Town have played each other seven times since the formation of the JD Cymru Leagues in 2019, with both teams having three wins each and a draw, with every game being a competitive affair.

The most recent game resulted in a 1-0 win for Gresford Athletic at Buckley Town's The Globe in the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup, with a Haci Ozlu chipped effort knocking The Bucks out of the competition.
