Gresford Athletic look to continue a good run of form with an away game against Bangor 1876 in the 2023/24 JD Cymru North on Friday.

WHEN AND WHERE

Gresford Athletic will play against Bangor 1876 on Friday 29th September 2023, with kick off at 7:30pm.

The game will be played at Nantporth Stadium, where Bangor 1876 have moved into for the 2023/24 season, which can be found at the following address:

THE OPPOSITION

Following their promotion from the 2022/23 Lock Stock Ardal North West, Bangor 1876 have made a good start to life in Tier 2.

They started their 2023/24 season with a 3-2 away win against Holywell Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup, as well as a dominant 6-0 win against Llanidloes Town in the 2023/24 JD Cymru North.

Further wins against Llandudno and Denbigh Town were followed by defeated against Mold Alexandra, Prestatyn Town and Ruthin Town in the league, with Gresford Athletic and Guilsfield also beating them in cup competitions, before a 4-0 victory against Holywell Town in the 2023/24 JD Welsh Cup and a close 3-2 league win against Caersws last weekend.

HEAD TO HEAD

The Colliers have played against 1876 twice before, with the first game coming in a 2019/20 pre-season friendly, with Bangor 1876 winning 2-1 at Clappers Lane.

Gresford Athletic did however earn a 3-0 away win against Bangor 1876 in the first competitive game between the clubs in the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup back in August 2023.
