It has been confirmed that Lewis Roberts will not require surgery following his knee injury against Chadderton Reserves earlier this month.
The midfielder was stretchered off during the Development Team's 2025/26 Pre-Season friendly away against the Manchester-based side after a clash in the 65th minute of the game, which led to a five-hour wait for an ambulance and an X-ray in the early hours of the morning.
After a consultation with a knee surgen and an MRI scan, he has now received the positive news that no surgery will be required on his knee and he can look to start his recovery immediately, although he will be guaranteed to be out of action football-wise for at least four more weeks.
Everyone at Gresford Athletic wishes you a speedy recovery, Lewis!
