The defender first joined The Colliers at the start of the 2023/24 season on an initial six-month loan from Connah's Quay Nomads, but signed for the club permanently in the January transfer window.

He has gone on to make 30 appearances in all competitions for the club, with the defender helping to keep seven clean sheets and earning one Gresford Athletic Man of the Match award.

Gresford Athletic First Team Manager Eddie Maurice-Jones has praised Bennett for performing well in his first season at the club:
