Jonathan Hill-Dunt has left his role as Gresford Athletic First Team Assistant Manager to take a new opportunity.
The former goalkeeper, known to many as Dunty, has held his role since April 2021 following his playing career retirement, working alongside First Team Manager Eddie Maurice-Jones.
In his playing days, Hill-Dunt cemented a legendary status in Welsh football and, specifically, at Prestatyn Town, with him being known for putting in a man of the match performance in the 2012/13 JD Welsh Cup Final for The Seaiders during their historic cup win and representing the club in the UEFA Europa League.
He also played for Gresford Athletic for three seasons across two spells before announcing his retirement upon the cancellation of the 2020/21 JD Cymru North season and moving onto the touchline for The Colliers.
During his time as First Team Assistant Manager, Hill-Dunt has seen the team continue to be a stable Tier 2 club and has also helped the team to reach the 2022/23 NEWFA Men's Senior Challenge Cup Final and the 2023/24 Semi-Finals, as well as the Quarter-Finals of the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup.
Gresford Athletic First Team Manager Eddie Maurice-Jones pays tribute to Hill-Dunt for his time at the club:
"I'd like to thank Dunty for his exceptional service to the club and the close working relationship we had, particularly in recent seasons.
"We've had our challenges, but it's always been enjoyable and rewarding to be working with a mate.
"It will be an odd feeling to not be in constant communication about the smallest details, but I'm sure we'll find something new to debate about.
"Thank you and good luck!"
An announcement of an appointment of a new First Team Assistant Manager will be made in due course.
