Gresford Athletic have completed the signing of Joe Ormrod from Mold Alexandra.

The midfielder is new signing number six for the First Team during the 2024/25 summer transfer window.

Before his move to Welsh football, Ormrod spent time playing in England with Upton AA until he signed for Mold Alexandra in 2021.

The 29-year-old has spent the last four seasons at The Alex, becoming an integral part of their midfield during their rise up the leagues.

During the 2023/24 season, he made 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals, as Mold Alexandra finished in fourth place of the JD Cymru North and lifted the the Welsh Blood Service League Cup in both the Northern and National sections.

He now joins Gresford Athletic and adds another fantastic option in midfield for the First Team.

Gresford Athletic First Team Manager Eddie Maurice-Jones says that Ormrod has already demonstrated his qualities during 2024/25 pre-season:
