Gresford Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Roberts from Holywell Town.
The forward agrees to join the club as the second signing of the 2025/26 summer transfer window for the First Team.
This is his second spell at the club, following a brief stint during the 2016/17 season.
Roberts started his career as a youth player at both Wrexham and Chester, before moving into Welsh domestic football with Cefn Druids in 2014 as part of their Development Team.
He joined Penycae a year later, whilst also playing for Gresford Athletic for the first time between 2016 and 2017.
At the start of the 2017/18 season, the 28-year-old signed for Buckley Town, spending six years at the club, before joining Mold Alexandra in 2023. His spell at The Alex was excellent, scoring 25 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions, earning himself a move to 2023/24 JD Cymru North Champions Holywell Town.
During the 2024/25 season, Roberts suffered a tough injury, but still managed to play 22 games in all competitions for The Wellmen, bagging five goals.
He now signs for Gresford Athletic adds some real firepower to the First Team’s frontline ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Welcome to The Colliers, Jake!
