Gresford Athletic have completed the signing of Danny Jones, who most recently played for Colwyn Bay.

The young forward joined the club on Deadline Day as the First Team's fourth signing of the 2024/25 January transfer window.

Jones started his career at Stoke City, also playing for Brickfield Rangers, Wrexham and Shrewsbury Town as a youth player.

Ahead of the 2021/22 season, the 19-year-old signed for Sky Bet League One side Bolton Wanderers, playing for both their Under 18s and Reserves teams.

He spent two campaigns at The Wanderers, before returning to Wales in 2023, signing for Colwyn Bay, where he was named in five First Team squads as they competed in the JD Cymru Premier during the 2023/24 season.

He now makes the move to Gresford Athletic and aims to bring some more pace and firepower to the First Team's attacking options.
