We are delighted to announce that Gresford Athletic have today completed the signing of Chris Hibbert from Brymbo.
This is Gresford Athletic's eighth signing of the 2022/23 summer transfer window.
Until 2018, the tall centre back played for Cestrian Alex, before signing for Buckley Town for the 2018/19 season.
The 30-year-old spent three two and a half seasons at Buckley Town until he signed for Chester Nomads in late 2020, before quickly returning to Buckley Town during the 2020/21 January transfer window and then signing for Brymbo in January 2022.
Chris made two appearances in all competitions for Buckley Town during the 2021/22 season, helping to keep one clean sheet and providing one assist. He also made five league appearances for Brymbo, with the club finishing the season in 15th place of the 2021/22 Lock Stock Ardal North West.
Gresford Athletic First Team Assistant Manager Jonathan Hill-Dunt says that Chris brings healthy competition to the defence:
"Chris has come In and impressed us. He adds real height to the back line and healthy competition.
Having known Chris for a few years, I know he is a great lad with a great attitude."
Welcome to the club, Chris!
