Outside of the game, Julian has been monumental in keeping the club thriving. He helped to erect the club's 200-seater Jonnie Ratcliffe Stand at Clappers Lane, as well as lead the organisation of many much-enjoyed fundraising events, including the annual Family Fun Fireworks Night and Gerry Evans Memorial Evening, as well as the unbelievably successful Gresford by the Lake Beer Festival in 2019. Not to mention that he helped to keep the club going through a period of uncertaincy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is undoubtedly true that Julian will go down in the club's history as one of the biggest supporters and a true Gresford Athletic Legend.

Everyone at the club thanks Julian for his dedication, passion and hard work to continue to make the club run smoothly for many years.

All the best for the future - you will be greatly missed. You know you are always welcome back at the club!

Vice-Chairman Peter Goddard will take the role of Chairman with immediate effect, as per the club's Constitution.
