Following an approach from the committee of Marford & Gresford Albion Football Club, we are pleased to announce that we have amalgamated with the youth set up in the village.

The youth section were continuing to find it difficult to fulfil committee positions and find people to help with the running of the club. As the senior section had a full working committee in place it made perfect sense to assist with the running of the youth section and ultimately continue to have a youth section in the village.

The major change is in name, as the youth section will now be called Gresford Athletic Junior Football Club who will wear the colours of the club. The direct link between the clubs probably should have happened years ago. Many of the committee (the younger ones!), both 1st and Reserve managers and many of the players were involved with M&G as juniors.

We hope the change builds on the success of M&G and going forward we continue to have a thriving junior section in the village.
