A Gresford lad, the 21-year-old re-joined his local club in the summer of 2022 for his second spell and has been a consistent figure for the First Team ever since

He has made 69 appearances in all competitions for Gresford Athletic over the last two seasons, showing his dependability, as the defender also helped to keep 17 clean sheets in total.

His two goals for the club came in the 2023/24 season against Radnor Valley in the Macron NEWFA Men's Senior Challenge Cup, whilst he also provided one assist during the campaign and was named Gresford Athletic Man of the Match once in 37 appearances in all competitions.

Gresford Athletic First Team Manager Eddie Maurice-Jones belives says that Smith's dedication transfers into his performances on the pitch:
