We are delighted to announce that Gresford Athletic Reserves have today completed the signings of Josh Hughes from Rhos Aelwyd and Rhys Patel from Acton.

The lads sign up to the Gresford Athletic Reserves squad for the 2023/24 season.

Josh Hughes is a forward, who signs from Rhos Aelwyd after playing for their U19s under Gresford Athletic Reserves Manager Gareth Rowland. He has also previously played for Johnstown Youth, Cefn Druids and Penycae.

Goalkeeper Rhys Patel signs for the club following spells at Airbus UK Broughton, Garden Village Junior, Amlwch Town, Mold Alexandra, Acton Youth and Greenfield Junior. During the 2022/23 season, he made one appearance for Acton Reserves in a 3-3 draw against Llay Welfare Third Team, which was won on penalties, in the North East Wales Football League Reserve Cup.
